Your Gateway This is your personal gateway to The Hacker Project online browser game. You can run software on it, check the logs and spot any unusual traces on it. The gateway provides total anonymity to your personal computer. Whenever you are connecting to other computers in the Hacker Project virtual world, you will use your default gateway.
Later in the game, you can purchase additional servers that you can set as your gateway, and use them in different ways, backup, attack others or just bounce through them to avoid tracing. It is of utmost importance that you protect your gateway IP address. Others will try to find your gateway and place malicious software on it to destroy your backups or steal, so be very careful. The IP can be changed at a cost.
